Never to been to the Gaydon centre, but been round the AM Heritage place in Newport Pagnell a few times - they have some interesting stuff in there. They take school kids in for work experience, and some poor teacher has to go and visit to make sure they're doing OK. First visit, I was confronted by 3 indentical Black Vanquishes - each worth more than my house. The owner was moving from China to South Africa (or vice versa) and wanted them changed to the relevant country spec.

An amusing tale I was told when I was there a few years back - they had a maroon 60's convertible in there that they were restoring for some Saudi Prince. He'd owned one when he was younger, and wanted AM to track the original down so he could possibly buy it back. AM found it and approached the owner to see if they could purchase it. The owner agreed , but when he found out the prospective purchaser was a Saudi Prince, whacked a massive premium on his asking price.

This annoyed the Prince, so he cancelled the sale. AM found him the next consecutively number vehicle, which he them bought and paid AM to convert to the exact specification of his original one. It ultimately cost him far more than buying the original, but he refused to get ripped off.
