I'm curious as to how many Morgan owners have named, or intend to name, their cars. Further, how do they arrive at the chosen names? We often refer to cars as "she" but do some of our cars carry male names too? Once selected, does the name change over time; i.e. She use to be Susan, but now identifies as Ralph. When the car; he or she, is sold do you require the new owner keep the current name, or do you insist they come up with their own? How much influence does the significant other have in the "naming ceremony"? When replacing a current car, with a name, does the new car carry the same name? If so is the new car referred to as Junior, or the II, or III, or IV?
This, naming cars, seems to be as prevalent in the US as it is in the UK. Is it also common in other countries?
I had not given this a great of thought, but when people (even non Morgan owners) find out I'm a Morgan owner, they ask...."what did you name the car?" So now I have the additional pressure of coming up with a suitable and appropriate name for my beautiful car. (I'd ask for suggestions but am afraid of what those might be.)
