Hi,
I have a query regarding clearance between the top suspension arm and chassis side - MK 1 Aero.
The support arm between upper ball joint and shock obsorber hits the 10 swg inner alluminium chassis wall when suspension compresses - there's a witness mark on the top of both arms and burrs on the ally.
Surely S/travel should be controlled by the shock bump stop (if there is one) rather than this crashing of metal to metal - maybe it's engineeered like this on purpose to stop the wheel rising too far into the wheel arch.
Can anyone shed any light on the subject please...
Thanks
Regards
Robo
