Hi
I had a transponder fail when away from home which meant a tow home.
I bought the plug and connected loop wires as per wiring diagram. Ie B158 to B158 etc
Has been working for some years now.

There is also a very thin black wire, the lead from the sensor wiring near ignition lock, this has a fragile connector which caused non functioning of immobiliser too.

Using the jumper plug ( pic of Morgan version below) takes this out of consideration
