When I was at Southampton Uni in the early 80s we used to go up to the Onslow Arms on Friday evenings to hear the Bob Pearce blues band. Bob was a great bloke, and one of his compositions was a song called 65 Chevvy - the first track on this album. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gdbcKr0luI

His keyboard player was a really young guy called Carl Sonny Leyland who played a really mean boogie boogie. Carl moved to New Orleans in 1988, and I understand he has quite a following in the states.
