Hi Terry1956,
I very rarely use my 2009 4/4 Sport for local use. (I use the motorbike for city work and a hatchback for shopping, winter etc...)
....if I want to do a big journey (especially a touring trip) I choose the Morgan and both my wife and I REALLY LOVE it.

It is comfortable to drive long distances with and I only just fit in it at 6'3".

....but like Easter says.. you have to get into Morganeering because there are compromises you have to make. It is all part of the fun. You have to be an enthusiast or it doesn't really make all that much sense....therefore you need to try one for at least a day before you will see the 'big picture'.

If you are going to make comparisons relating to everyday all year round life with something like a Boxter, then the a classic Morgan isn't going to be able to compete....but that's not what a Morgan is about...you need a bit of flying jacket and scalf mentality and your well on your way to contented Morgan ownership.
