Sun out, roof & sidescreens off , tyre pressures adjusted & everything feeling like its loosening up. Feels like a totally different car.
Might be a silly question, but should there be a tool tray under the carpet on the rear shelf?

If your car has a spare wheel, then there should be a tool tray under the rear shelf. It should contain jack and other tools for a wheel change. IIRC, the tool tray is not fitted to cars without a spare wheel.
