Why on earth change a proven product like a key? These keyless systems are just something more to go wrong in an already over complicated product.

I enrolled with Apple Pay when the Covid pandemic started - on the basis that there's no limit on the spend and I could pay for petrol without touching anything. It's now my default for most payments. Very secure, very easy and not limited to £30 (or whatever).
