Interestingly, I spent quite a few miles in the factory Aeromax with side pipes and was never won over by the sound. As my car has the rear exit sports exhaust, I was able to form a personal opinion based on quite a few miles spent in both cars (7,000 in mine and 1,000 in the factory car).
I felt I was only hearing half the engine and the noise it made wasn't pleasant to my ears (more of an abrasive bark than a rumble). Furthermore, at cruising speed it often felt like it droned (the rear exit can do this at certain RPMs) and under acceleration, it was too intrusive and wasn't a pleasant sound which made you welcome the intrusion. I believe the coupe configuration of the Aeromax exacerbated these issue - I certainly never found it as annoying in Boshlys S2; however, what the 1,000 miles did confirm to me is that the side pipes are not for me.
