My garage is remote from home, about ¼ mile, so carry a wide range of tools comfortably fitting in aluminium tool tray. Most are carried in a custom tool roll made from an old rugby shirt and include the following:
Range of open ended and ring ratchet spanners from 6mm to 19mm with popular sizes duplicated.
¼" square drive ratchet with a few small sockets and set of matching Allen key sockets
4 screwdrivers of various sizes
Stanley knife
Small adjustable spanner
Long nosed pliers
Tape
Cable ties
Then I have:
Small aircraft size ⅜" square drive socket set
Jack and handle
Spinner removal tool
Soft Thor hammer
Vaseline
Spare bulbs
Polishing cloths and small jar of polish
Octopus bungy strap
Small block of wood
Heavy bits are wrapped in cloth material. OTT for most I imagine, but have explained the reason.
