There is one temperature sensor that always seems to be at freezing.

Whatever the weather there is never a comment about warm feet.
As for an ECU....it does use incoming air temperature as a parameter. My Gems does. It uses a sensor just after the filter box. Hence cold air intakes to improve performance as it manages map choices.
The one shown is unlikely to be for ecu data as it doesn’t show actual IAT (incoming air temp).
