[Linked Image]M3W PUMP ROTOR1 by Jeff Inge
Here is a photo of the guts of the original Discovery fuel pump. This pump had not failed yet at 9000 miles, and was replaced with the Walbro. This is just a single stage turbine pump, I am surprised it could deliver at 58psi. I am wondering what the most common mode of failure is. The motor is a simple DC perm magnet motor . I could imagine a small piece of swarf jamming the rotor. I think the Walbro has a better chance of passing particles with the gear arrangement.
