A hardtop for the winter would be great. OK on nice days it would be taken off. I don’t really get the Morgan must be roof down attitude. Yes I go roof down as often as possible but roof up is ok for me. I have a 9stud hood but set it up partly fixed for a quicker fitting if the weather looks changeable. A bit like an easy up.
I haven’t tried a hood up/no sidescreen set up yet ( only had a Morgan for about 10 years!) so bear with me.
