I have had my Brompton for over 20 years Tim, although it is now used regularly but infrequently. It suits my life style. If you are not using yours than I would sell it, you may be surprised at what they are worth.
The ARCC kit with a new Brompton would be nearer £4k for a reasonably specced one. More expensive than the Bromptons own e-bike. (Which is not available here anyway)
