H-TE was based at Broughton (near Chester but actually in Flintshire, Wales) during the 90's.
It crashed towards the end of a mild display at Barton and had flown out of Broughton earlier that day.
The suspicion was the SU carbs suffered fuel starvation to one of the engines during a wing-over, result was an uncontrolled spin with recovery too late. Both crew died.
That is my understanding. I researched this a few years ago - my wife's uncle died (together with his companion) in July 1943 in similar circumstances on a training flight in a Mosquito NF.II.
