But after achieving smooth-revving performance throughout the powerband with only a bafflectomy and intake, I'm curious if the incremental value of the cams/rockers is measurable or offset by any risk. Or is it best to leave well enough alone. I don't drive mine more than 1000 miles/year.
The 569 Cams really do make an improvement over the entire rev-band, as they simply add torque and with it comes smoothness. They give a noticeable kick at 4000rpm as the breathing further frees up. I have reservations about the Roller rockers however, as they add lift and some have said that they result in an Interference setup in terms of valve and piston relationship. I would be interested to hear a definitive Yes or No to that question from someone who has built up a set of Rollers and can confirm?
