Most awkward moment ?
Friend on speakerphone to a call centre. Person at other end has a strong accent.
Friend gets more and more frustrated as the call centre person clearly has a script they want to stick to and he just needs them to send a reset which is at least four pages away.
Towards the end of the call he loses it and starts to go into a tirade about offshore call centres, cultural issues, lack of initiative being permitted to the operators by the companies due to trust issues, p__s poor customer service.
Silence on the other end.
Then the operator quietly just says "mate I am based in Bingley, you can come and see the office if you like. I have been very patient with you but I don't like being talked at in that manner and one of the rules we have is that if people are rude we are to mark their account as abusive and just hang up so good luck with the next person" and hangs up just before he gets to the reset page. My friend did not know ether to scream or be embarrassed. I just laughed at him as he would have to go through it all again.
