Phil you highlight a good defensive posture.

I join the public platforms and take my name or as close as possible so that a public (guarded, locked) ID can be seen. I put some basic identifiable information on it that shows it is mine (a Morgan picture but nothing of me or my birthday etc etc) and then leave it there. If you have a public persona this is a good way of protecting it.

If someone now tries to hijack me I can point to the real pre-existing garbage that is never updated and so they can see I am not a user and this is not my real ID.

What does give me a giggle is when we interview someone and as part of this we review their sochul medier presence to find out if they have a position which could compromise the role or worse the business. I have come across a neo-right wing bigot with a thread that would be caustic to a KKK member in the past. They didn't get the job. You have to wonder how people think that they can put this stuff out there and not come back to bite them? I respect their right to have views that differ from mine.

It does however remind me of when I was best man a long time ago and we built an entire "alternative" life for the groom on Twatter and used it for the best mans speech. Even we had a problems deleting it afterwards. Those were the days.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
