Agreed it does seem odd Richard.
PIGo on our Roadsters the petrol station fuel pump cuts out after filling about 3/4 tank. You can then add up to 10 l by pumping in fuel slowly. Some filling station pumps work better than others.
I would hope the new Plus Four doesn't do that but next time you fill her up I would check that.
