I changed my black painted wires for stainless wires a bout three years ago - painteds were a pain as they needed constant touching up.If you need new tyres as well have aword with Blockley tyres. They supplied MWS stainless wheels at trade price and also gave me a good deal on the tyres which saved me about £100 per corner. The stainless need very little cleaning - I do the insides at kingpin greasing time.
