One year ago we never thought of owning a dog or a touring caravan and somehow now we have both!
Congratulations! We have a motorhome and a dog and last year found ourselves on what was mainly a caravan site for a couple of nights, and a nicer bunch of people you couldn't hope to meet. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time in your caravan and with your dog.
We had a big Motorhome at one point but found it restrictive when out exploring so flogged it and switched to a caravan. Both have + and - points.
We are now thinking of one of the larger van conversions such as the Autosleeper Symbol.
