I know just how you feel Rich, the +8 is addictive in terms of power , torque, handling (after a few mods) and exhaust note, and I will anguish forever about the decision.

The propane conversion is a non-starter I am afraid, the system is based on the homologation of the car , not its actual emissions. According to the test results I have from emissions at MoT time , my +8 actually meets Euro 4 (albeit only just) , but the car is not homologated to that standard, so it becomes automatically liable for the ULEZ charge.
I did try to follow up with a guy in Stratford (E London) who was modifying motorbikes to comply with the bike regs for ULEZ on NOx emissions by re-tuning them , and after spending much money , he could submit a new emissions certificate to a particular number plate via the TfL computerised system. He said it had been so much hassle that he would not even contemplate doing it for cars, but was prepared to advise anyone who would . So far my searches for that person or business have turned up nothing.
