The TFL site shows two variants to charging.
The original Congestion charge plus emissions related charges that will apply cumulatively depending on where the vehicle sits in their emissions bands.
I seem to remember the Congestion charge was to reduce numbers of vehicles by a money disincentive ( pay to enter) . The emissions charges are then on top of that.
Weren’t EV’s given exemption from both to encourage EV use? So, when EV takes over as the dominant vehicle will the congestion element be applied to them? Reduce vehicles, encourage public transport, cycling, electric scooters....
I remember Cardiff having trolleybuses with power from overhead cables. Basically an electric double decker bus. No rails in the road.
