32nd Americas cup, race 7. Tactics, strategy, boat handling, difficult maneuvers, close racing and suspense to the end. Yes, 12M yachts are slow and sluggish compared to the AC75, but the thrill of that is that every mistake will cost you dearly, and and it is difficult to compensate with just boat speed. Race 3 in the the Prada cup the other day was interesting half way through, then the Italians were so far in front that the result was quite obvious. Race 4 was exiting until they crossed the starting line, and that was it. I do admit that these are fascinating machines and admire the creativity, engineering work and progress, but as for an exiting competition - sorry, I'll pass.
