FWIW, MX5 gearboaxes are likely to be plentyful. I presume the clutch is non-standard but will be by some large manufacturer (assuming it's not a mass produced item available for yet another vehicle, making it even easier/cheaper.) Centa isn't going anywhere either. The bevel box is by Quaife isn't it?

Morgan produces very few of the mechanicals in-house. The engine is really the biggest dependency, S&S being a small manufacturer. That said, people are rebuilding 40 year old V-twin engines that went out of production long ago, so I'm sure we'll be fine. May be hard to find the right people but with such a tight community someone will find someone and the word will spread like wildfire. Look at Phil, everyone knowns Phil smile

I'm far more worried about frame or panel damage. Will Morgan, in 10 years' time, beat/roll you a new panel and portion of frame if you get lightly rear-ended?
