I'll look at pictures and drawings to find the sweet spot and maybe even angle to aim towards the rubbers. I think there's a good couple of inches of clearance between the housing and shaft so should be safe there. Think I'll use a stepped drill bit so I'll at least be able to see a little bit before going wider and notice if I hit something further in (as opposed to a circular hole cutter)
