And if you are just blowing air up a hose that is connected to the tank you will be blowing crap up into the clean oil. I would disconnect the line at both ends and then clean it.

It is a 6 liter tank so what good is a two liter bottle?


As I read it he is disconnecting both ends of the breather hose and then using an air pump to blow the gunk out of the breather pipe into the bottle.


Agree that is what R1NGA is saying and it is what I do too, in my case I used my compressor to blow through and it certainly cleared the junk but I also took the precaution of relocating the pipe. It is a simple fix and easy procedure to add to the annual maintenance schedule.
