Maybe they never found the water leak that plagued previous ownership for years.
I thought Captain Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure eventually solved that?
Yes, it is Nero. It had done around 16000 miles when I sold it. Good old Captain Tolley eventually did the trick regarding the leak but I also had to seal up the holes that the heated screen wires ran through....which was the main leak point. The main issue was the fact that the scuttle profile was flatter than it should have been so the windscreen seal never sat firmly down. Whilst working at the factory I still saw cars going through like that so I guess there’s others with similar leaks. The dreaded Morgan shimmy? That came and went. Improved a bit by fitting the Minilites which were better balanced than the original alloys and the shimmy depended on road surface. The factory’s view was that some do it and some don’t and I suspect that with the crude front suspension it’s not really surprising. The factory had it for a couple of weeks and found nothing amiss regarding the geometry of the front end, just that the original wheels were not good. It was still a cracking car with all the mods I did to it.
