Hey folks. Reviving a very old thread here in search of some advice... I’ve had trouble starting two times in the last two days. First time went as follows: drove 200 miles, parked for 1 hour, started, reversed 100 meters, shut off for 5 minutes. Tried to start and had trouble. Engine cranks but wouldn’t start... 4-5 times. Waited 10 minutes. Tried again and it fired up.

This morning on a very cold start had similar trouble. Only thing that got it going was giving the gas pedal a push while cranking. Fired right up and drove fine.

Haven’t checked fuel pressure but leads, plugs, fuses all OK. Fuel pump makes usual noises when turning the key.

Any thoughts? I’ve never tried pushing the gas pedal when starting, never had to. I’m wondering if this method having worked might suggest that fuel pump is my issue?
