So many factories in Asian countries are owned or financed by Chinese entities, the label says made in Vietnam or Sri Lanka but the factory is Chinese owned. A great many products are assembled in a country and labeled that country but the component parts are made in China. Most of the ships that ply the trade routes and block the Suez Canal have Chinese financing, most of the world's shipping containers are made in Hong Kong and Taiwan by Chinese companies. The list goes on.
