My advice is to leave the film in place. It protects the running boards especially, but you will get stone-chips on the wings and cowl, and the film does help.

I've added extra film to mine around the B post where the side-screens rub, and along the bottom of the doors, which may also rub.

Bear in mind when looking for a car that some dealers leave cars on their website after being sold, to create the impression of a good stock.

So ring as soon as you see one you like, don't dwell on it long.
