I've just watched the first episode of Secrets of the Supercars on Dave/UK TV Play, it featured the £4 million Pagani Roadster, all clever stuff but completely soulless IMHO, but much to my surprise they included a 1947 4/4 DHC as an example of an early roadster and described the use of wood as carbon fibre of it's day! There was also an interesting bit on the Fiat Beast of Turin.
