I recently replaced the original, 25% worn tyres on my 2009 Plus 4. The motivation was that of Health and Safety. However, the improvement in ride quality was absolutely astounding.
Having read here about the potential benefits in ride quality from fresh tyres, I wished to maximise it. I asked my local tyre dealer to recommend a tyre on the two following criteria:
1. Thinnest sidewall available being most important
2. "traditional looking" tread pattern.
He came up with the brand "Imperial", and I am very well pleased.
Typically I am fastidious about tyre selection for my daily driver, which is currently an F-Type. Expense is not a consideration they must be the ultimate in speed rating and grip etc. However, I believe our light Morgans have different optimum tyre selection criteria. Just personal opinion, and doubtless many will feel "uncomfortable" on anything other than a premium brand (with a thicker sidewall).
Change them now, and don't forget the spare, that probably has not been used.
