A Morgan might get away with the old style plates as the car looks old anyway. The ANPR readability is a possible downside ( or upside in some circumstances
)
The failure to register on ANPR is a reason to be stopped and further checks made.
You take a chance so can’t complain if caught out unless you are an entitled numpty.
