Interesting comment. My tests of a trad roadster showed a steering whell that was "alive" in my hands. Unusual by modern standards but in some ways attractive. Presumably the result of a very basic old fashioned suspension system. Maybe a previous owner didnt get on with the idea of letting ths steering "work" in his hands and needed a firm grip on the wheel - hence a damper. Or is a damper standrad?
