Be wary about compatibility.
Check the engine AND check the pump, fuel lines etc in the fuel system.
Later engines could be ok but did MMC use higher ethanol resistant fuel lines and pumps?
I am pretty sure that my Plus8 ( 2002 with 4l Rover V8) is ok engine wise but that doesn’t mean MMC also upgraded other components.
No issues so far. I tend to use V-Power anyway. I switched from 95octane as a cure for an occasional “random intermittent misfire” fault code popping up.
