Bruce, from the OP's original comment:
With the new radiator in place it seems impossible to access the tabs from under the bonnet to secure the grill enough to prevent rattles.

Rob, I think you'll have to take grille etc. off again and close up the gap a little, then probably apply some of Dave W's fix. At least with neoprene it will stop any rattles!
