She is in Pompie now as a permanent place in Naval history.

They were like a No9 buses when we moved here 42 years ago, always up and down from Dartmouth to Totnes and across to Torbay but no longer.

She did well to make it across from Pompei and return last year.


There was the Torquay, Paignton , Brixham ferry when I was a kid but I thin kthat was a bigger MTB

They restarted the Torquay to Brixham Ferry a couple of years back for the commuters as it was quicker, which will come as no surprise to you John with current traffic levels. Ferry times

The Western Lady that they use for this service used to be one of the Dartmouth to Kingswear foot passenger boats that our three youngsters caught twice a day enroute to the Banjo and coach journey to Churston Grammar.
