I’m fitting a pair of Brooklands aero screens to my 1985 4/4 Roadster and am looking for any advice. I’m fitting a fold down windscreen kit first and want to place the aero screens behind the folded down screen. It seems best to remove the padded coaming from the dash/scuttle to get a firm fixing for the aero screen brackets. If so I may as well keep it off or perhaps fit a shorter padded section for safety reasons or just leave it off altogether? It seems advisable to bolt the aero screen brackets direct to the metal scuttle/dash as screws would come loose over time. Anyone done this mod? I would appreciate any advice/experience.
