Thanks for all the replies to my query regarding the imposition of E10 Fuel next month, I would also like to thank Tim in particular for all the information he provided, there are still a few things that are problematic, regarding the placement of the Malpassi fuel filter. also, is it necessary to replace the original fuel pump with an electric one? The photo from Webcon shows two jets, well they are mine and I did only use shell V power for 6months until I put the car into hibernation in October. I returned the car to Webcon as I had only driven about 750 miles last year, they were kind enough to restore the jets and clean the interior of the carb, however, I have not switch the carbs back yet as I am unsure whether to discard the "Powerplus " inline tube I fitted in the late 80's early 90's which was designed to boost the octane and replace the lead, I seem to recall it was supposed to increase the power of the engine and the fuel consumption also. I understand it was based on a design during WW2 for Spitfires and Hurricanes in order to boost the octane, I think they are called Fuel Cats now. I still don't know if it works, some say they're just snake oil, I can't say I've ever noticed any difference. As I say I feel it is a very important topic especially for carbureted Morgans, any further thoughts or advice would be most welcome.
Thanks Swordfish
