Well, took the M3W out to have a coffee. Started and drove flawlessly as usual (despite the many rattles 😅). Had my coffee, climbed back in, hit the starter button with all eyes on me and… tickticktickticktick. Called morgan rescue (who asked me if the car was automatic, all wheel drive, 2 wheel drive, and whether I was towing anything - hah!). They managed to start the car right up with a booster pack but we quickly determined it wasn’t charging. Flatbed to Oakmere in Northwich who have determined that the problem seems to be the stator and they are now awaiting permission from Morgan to take the engine out.

At 6 months and 2,200 miles, not the greatest reliability…

Wondering if anyone else had first or second hand experience of this kind of failure?

I’ll at least take the opportunity to swap the rollers out!
