The seats are mounted on metal rails that sit on wooden slats. These can be cut down a bit to get a lower seating position. This might help tall drivers.

I am just shy (never!) under six feet. I cut down my seat battens and introduced a wedge effect that lowered the rear of the seat and hence the rake of the rear of seat and uplift of front support. Certainly is better (and added a small lumbar 'Union jack' cushion!) I guess a reclining seat would be a solution but expensive..
Left foot is a bit of a drag I admit but I assume that with the effort required to use the clutch that a 'gentle' rest on pedal is not too much of a problem..or on longer journeys I use the 'Automatic' position (tucked under)
