I used to scoff at the idea of expensive watches, then I bought a nice one for my fiftieth, since then I can’t help looking at other ones and I’d quite like a rugged one for work now.
And then after you get your rugged work watch, you’ll quite like a watch with a GMT (because you travel a bit) or chrono complication (because you drive cars) and then a dress watch and a gold watch and then a vintage Rolex and then you ….are living in a shed with just a cup of tea to keep you warm at night
