I mostly use Shell v power or Esso supreme in my 2014 Duratec. I will continue to do so although I have on occasions filled with supermarket fuel. I'm sure E5 is ok in a Duratec.
I've had no issues so far with the fuel lines and I'm pretty sure v power contains ethanol in Scotland, not sure about the Esso supreme.
I watched an old episode of fifth gear recently where they tested supermarket fuel against standard Esso, Esso supreme and Shell v power in a golf GTi on a rolling road. There wasn't a huge difference in performance (around 5 or so bhp IIRC)but the v power was the best of the 4 albeit the most expensive. They didn't test for MPG which would have been interesting, nor any long term issues on using cheaper v more expensive fuels.
Time for another test with some definitive answers I think.

Just checked the Esso website, supreme contains 5% Ethanol in Scotland and also in some parts of England and Wales.
