I believe there was a thread about the adjustment of the filler quite a long time ago.
From (bad) memory the breather can become twisted/blocked leading to blow back. Where it exits in the fuel filler enclosure it needed to be on the top above the fuel input pipe rings a bell. I will see if I can find/take a photo.
I am about 20 mins south of M4/A34 so not that far. Sadly mine is not out and about at present following this daft period of history. Always happy to help a fellow owner if possible. Mine both live on a CTEK.
Water ingress around the leading edge of the door making the leather damp is also a common feature on the model. I think it comes in along the vertical front edge then drop and pools around the back of the door.
Yes the suspension is a bit of a challenge, the Coupe needs the front looked at right now. The rear ball joints wear and need replacement.
Still won't sell it. The more miles you put on it the less the problems seem material. (that's where I am going wrong)
Sounds like it needs a visit up to us….
