I find I can best get fuel in if the nozzle is 180 from where you'd naturally place it - so the pump nozzle's metal handle is facing the passenger seat.
& yes, the S5 also has a 'proximate fuel indicator, which is as likely to rise as it is to fall. The digital display matches the dial... which I find strangely reassuring
