Tonight’s Panorama was entitled ‘The electric car revolution: winners and losers'. Admittedly the sub-text was ‘….reports on Tesla, the dominant company in the EV revolution’, but it was a thinly-veiled character assassination of Tesla. The scenes of “artisanal miners” resembled the mines in Lord of the Rings. I visited the Democratic Republic of Congo when it was Zaire (and got somewhat mugged), it evidently hasn’t improved. And while I have absolutely no intention of buying a Tesla (or any other EV), I would have liked to see the BBC present at least something in mitigation for Tesla, and for EV’s in general.
