Mine had no leak but I was concerned so I had the garage change it I kept the old rad. It is far smaller than the ali one which fills the cowl area.
I have noticed less wind noise but this might be due to having my side screens infilled at the same time.
The plastic rad had a casing around the fan to draw air through it but when the fan was on it was loud & the air stream came in via the heater box. With the ali rad this casing is not used and the fan seems quieter & the hot air blast far less noticeable which could be a blessing in summer.
