I know we've gone slightly off-piste here discussing the possibility of an electric aero! Brining it back to the boring question of failed fan control modules and one of the earlier questions about whether these are an issue just for S1 cars or not. I was at Brands Hatch Morgans at the weekend and asked one of their team who looked it up on the parts schedule and my S3 Aero has three of these units (as do all other Aeros) and they are no longer produced. Having said that the mechanic at BHM said they are reliable and very rarely fail, although will require a bespoke build if one does need a replacement. BHM did have one left in stock so that is now in my "Just in case" pile of spares!
