Before Christmas i drove into London to pick my daughter up from her flatshare in the Clapham region.
I checked on the TFL to see what i should pay in congestion charges etc.
There was no mention of closed roads for some vehicles in the H&F region.
three weeks later i receive two penalty charge notices as i have travelled down two roads that are no entry to all but local residents.
My gripe is that how are we supposed to know about these things if they are not flagged up on TFL or similar.
SatNav took me straight through the area.
If you know there are restrictions the web page can be investigated.
The next thing is that i took her back at the beginning of January blissfully unaware that i was about to receive some more fines at £65 a pop.
The signage is poor, the information is poor and the diversion info is non existent.
i have phoned around and it seems there is no sensible way to redress the situation.
i am not happy. it smacks of fines by stealth.
Anybody else have this problem?
